There is nothing better than a homemade burger to turn a smile on your face. For this recipe I experimented a bit with different flavours. You could say it is not your traditional burger. This burger has some red beet, caramelized apple, walnuts and a honey-mustard sauce.
If you have a sweet tooth, you will definitely like this burger. Both the red beet and the caramelized apple have a sweet taste. Combine that with the strong flavour of the honey-mustard sauce and you get a great balance. The light bitter taste of the walnuts complete the dish. This recipe is also ready in 15 minutes! Who needs time, when you have 15 minute dishes?
Serve the burger with some fries or baked potatoes. I smeared the fries with garlic and oregano and baked them in my airfryer. By doing that the recipe takes another 5 minutes extra time, so I finished it in 20 minutes instead of 15. If you prefer the quick option just bake the fries in the deep fryer.
Boil your cooking oil if you prefer to fry the fries in your deep-fryer. If you prefer to make your fries in the airfryer, smear them first with the clove of garlic and some oregano. Put them in the airfryer for 20 minutes.
Fry your burger quickly on each side. Now put your cooking fire on medium heat and let the burgers fry for another 9 minutes. v
Peel the apple and cut it into slices. Season with sugar and fry them in a frying pan. Let it fry for another 5 minutes on a medium-heated fire.
Cut the red beet into slices. Now slice the bread roll in half.
If you fry your fries in the deep-fryer, it is now time to put them in the boiling cooking oil.
Let's make the honey-mustard sauce now. Mix the 1 1/2 tablespoon of mayo, 2 teaspoons of mustard and 1 teaspoon of honey.
Smear the sauce all over both sides of the bread rolls.
Tme to complete your burger. On the bottom half of the bread roll you put the burger. Then you place 3 slices of red beet on top of it. Then you add the caramelized apple and the walnuts.
